I started my blogging journey on NYE three years ago. I already posted my resolutions. I've started two-I read four books this week, and I have maintained my current weight. Well, that's not exactly true. I actually lost 2 lbs over the holidays. It helped that I was taking an antibiotic for bronchitis for 10 days that made me nauseated.
Last year I started the year off with a bang by posting my views on immigration. It was a frustrating experience, because most of the people responding totally missed the point I was trying to make. I'm wondering if tomorrow I should post some more of my unpopular political views. In my life I have been left wing, neocon, and independent/centrist. Now, since reading Ayn Rand, I have become a Libertarian.
Basically I want the government out of the boardroom and the bedroom and my life, actually. If either of you readers are interested I can enumerate on some of those views tomorrow.
And now for something completely different...........
I used to hate NYE. It was my worst holiday. I would have to go to a party and probably get wasted. Then I would either get all maudlin or pick a fight with someone. Now my plans included eating our traditional ice cream sundaes, watching movies, and ringing in the new year in my jammies. This year we are watching a Survivorman marathon, next we will watch an episode or two of Heroes, then we will ring in the new year with the Disney channel. The 4 younger ones are looking forward to watching an all new Wizards of Waverly Place at midnight. That means we will actually be up until 12:30. At least my kids are late sleepers. We will probably roll about of bed around 10:00 tomorrow morning.
I hope to blog on a more regulare basis in the coming year. Lately I have dozens of ideas to blog about, but when it comes time to actually sit down and type them out the ideas just don't seem blog worthy. I need to start blogging without putting too much thought into it again. I've never been one to put a lot of thought into what I write.
And now for something completely different...
My current favorite song. We(minus Bill of course) love to sing along to this in the car.
